Catamarans in Varazze

Varazze lies in Savona province, in the region of Liguria. It runs to some 47,97 km2 , and is situated at about 30 Km. west of Génova and 11 Km. northeast of Savona.

The city stands in a wide bay, which stretches from the Mola Point to the Dell’Aspera Point. Its beach is an important tourist attraction, and the large port can dock up to 300 vessels.
Among the valuable artistic monuments that stand witness to the important role Varazzi has played throughout the centuries, the collegiate church of Sant’Ambrogio in the town centre, in the square of the same name, is an outstanding example.

The placement of the city on the seashore allows for a temperate climate. The waters of the Ligurian Sea, and the gusts of warm air blowing in from Africa warm the winters, although occasionally a colder wind from the Atlantic may penetrate. The summers are quite warm with an average temperature of 25ºC to 28ºC.
