Sail Yact in Mogan
Mogan, the renowned tourist zone, lies in the south of Gran Canaria, in one of the regions with the best climate in the whole Canarian archipelago. Few parts of the country can boast as many sunny days.
Mogan does not only have sunshine to offer, but also beaches of fine sand, and numerous lodgings. Puerto Rico, Patalavaca, Amadores, Arguineguín and Taurito count among the Moganese tourist centres, on route to the town and to the Port at Mogan. And it is precisely here, in the port, where the visitor can find a peaceful refuge in which to pass away the evenings after a day on the beach.
The Port of Mogan is one of the most charming and picturesque spots in the south of Gran Canario; the perfect place in which to stop and eat lunch or take a drink or snack in the shade of the colourful houses lining the streets leading down to the quay. The windows are adorned with bougainvillaea and hibiscus, and the people mix peacefully in the bars and cafés of the port. Next to the quayside we find housing complexes built over small water channels, which only serves to increase the charm of the marine zone. The Port has a sports quay with 225 moorings, where an anarchic mixture of fishing boats and yachts are harboured, whose personnel animate the quayside bars.
Gran Canaria’s climate, springlike all year round, has mean annual temperatures that swing between 18ºC and 25ºC.
