Tucepi lies on the Makarska coast and is one of Croacia’s most renowned tourist destinations. It is overlooked by Mount Biokovo on the Adriatic coast. Makarska, Baška Voda, Brela and Tučepi are all well known spots on the Makarska coast, typified by its long gravel beaches offering fun for all the family, its aquatic sports, its extensive recreational possibilities for all generations, and for its high quality restaurants, which serve Dalmation food and local wines, and for the nightlife which keeps the youngsters busy till the early hours.

Mount Biokovo still offers the chance to refresh oneself from natural spring water, savour the scents of wild herbs, or trap butterflies, all of these pleasures within easy reach of Makarska where tourist regularly return, having once visited. The Makarska coast is also a useful base for those who prefer to move around, since from here one can get to Split wherein the Palace of Diocleciano is found, or hold on to the ring finger of the statue of Grgur Ninski (Gregory of Nin) which apparently brings good luck, or go to Međugorje, the well known Marionite sanctuary where the image of the virgin appeared, or even to Dubrovnik , whose architecture and the age-old atmosphere reigning leaves even the most disinterested visitor breathless.
