Sail Yacht in Helsinki

Helsinki, Finland’s capital, together with Espoo and Vantaa its nearby sister towns, are the largest conurbations in the country, and its port is that of the most traffic. Helsinki extends over a series of islands and Baltic promontories, while its new, modern parts are settled in the adjacent woods and fields.

There exists a whole spectrum of attractions, from the island fortress at Suomenlinna at the entry of the south port, the open-air museum on the island of Seurasaari, with its traditional buildings, to the impressive building at Kiasma, taking in the Museum of Modern Art and the unique “Church on the Rock”, Temppeliaukio. History inundates us in the magnificent Senate Square, with its neo-classical Lutheran cathedral, and nearby the orthodox cathedral of Uspensky, as do the trensetting details of the Railway Museum and the National Museum. In the southern cape of Finland, the region covers the archipelago and the surrounding towns of Tammisaari (Ekenäs) y Hanko (Hangö).

The beginnings of spring are still snow-covered, but in the first part and the middle of May an authentic metamorphosis occurs as nature starts to flower.
In Finlandia summer begins in June and lasts until mid-August. The Finnish summer climate is mild (20ºC-25ºC) and bright nights with the phenomenon of the midnight sun.
