Boats in Great Britain
England borders with Scotland to the north, with Wales to the west, and its territory is surrounded by the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and the English Channel.
England is among the most popular tourist destination, especially the city of London. Next to London, the attraction stems from the English rural scenery, the famous green fields and the pretty villages, with their tiny rural hotels, their typical taverns, farmhouses, and mansion houses.
There are many museums, the principal ones being the National Gallery, the Tate Modern and the Tate Britain, the British Library, or the marvellous museums which are the university towns of Cambridge and Oxford.
The English climate is very changeable, and can go from a cold, rainy spell to a splendid sunny day in no time. For this reason it is a good idea to always carry a raincoat or jacket. On average it rains one day in every three, even though there are some long dry periods. The temperature fluctuates between a maximum of 30°C in summer and a minimum of minus 5ºC in winter.
