Sail Yacht in Salerno
Salerno is the second largest city in the province of Campania, and is well known for its Salernitana Medical School.
Tourism is the major and most relevant occupation of the city. Salerno is in a unique position between the Amalfitana coast and the Cilentana coast, and is near to such renowned tourist attractions as Pompeii, Paestum, la Certosa di Padula and the National Park of the Cilento.
The city’s attractions are basically of a scenic character, for instance the maritime walk, the old town, the Minerva Gardens, and the Castle of Arechi.
The waters of the Ligurian Sea, and the gusts of warm air blowing in from Africa warm the winters, although occasionally a colder wind from the Atlantic may penetrate. The summers are quite warm with an average temperature of 25ºC to 28ºC.
