Sail Yact in Neapel
Naples is the most populated city in the south of Italy. It is capital of the region of Campania, and of the province of Naples. It lies halfway between Mount Vesuvius and another volcanic area, the Phlegraean Fields, and possesses a great historical, artistic, cultural, and gastronomic richness. Its ancient centre is declared a World Heritage site.
In the foothills of Vesuvius, facing the its splendid gulf, lies the city of Naples, a crossroads of Mediterranean cultures, home to baroque palaces and shaded narrow streets.
Due to the proximity of the sea, as with most of the cities on the Mediterranean coast, the climate in Naples is generally mild, with little difference between summer and winter. In winter the average temperature is 8ºC, while in summer (July) it is around 23ºC. Annual rainfall measures around 1000 mm, most of the rain falling in the beginning of winter. Nevertheless, Naples is, after Salerno, the Italian city with most hours of sun.
