Sail Yacht in Bodo

Nordland’s largest city is perched just inside the Artic Circle at the northern terminus of the coastal railway line. Despite its remote location ringed by mountains and the sea, Bodo is a commercial center known for its shipbuilding and repair yards. The town’s 40,000 residents welcome the masses of tourists that descend in June and July to bask in the Midnight Sun. The endless daylight gives visitors plenty of time to tour the nearby Lofoten Islands, home to a large concentration of sea eagles. Catching a glimpse of one of these majestic birds earns you membership in the world’s only sea eagle club.
