Boats in Seychelles

The Republic of Seychelles comprises a group of 115 islands with a total surface area of 455 km², lying northeast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.


The capital of Seychelles is Victoria, the archipelago’s only city. Located on the island of Mahé, Victoria is home to a third of the country’s population and is served by its only international airport and port. Tourism is Seychelles’ main source of income, and Victoria is a destination for flights from the world’s major international airports.


One of Victoria’s leading attractions is its botanical gardens, where visitors can see giant tortoises only found in Seychelles and the Galapagos Islands.
