Saint Martin is an island in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 240 km to the east of Puerto Rico.
The island, which has a surface area of 98 km², is divided into 2 parts, with the southern portion (called Sint Maarten) belonging to Netherlands Antilles and the northern portion (Saint-Martin) being an overseas collectivity of France.

Together, the 2 territories are known as St. Martin or St. Maarten. The island’s main cities are Marigot on the French side and Philipsburg on the Dutch side.

The island has 2 airports, namely Princess Juliana International Airport on the Dutch side and Grand Case on the French side.
