Sail yacht in Lefkas

The island of Lefkas lies on the west coast of Greece, and is connected to the mainland by a floating causeway. The city is on the north of the island, about 20 minutes car ride from the national airport at Aktion.

Lefkas includes also the smallest of the surrounding islands, such as Meganisi, Kalamos, Kastos, Madouri, Skorpios, and Sparti. It is the smallest local authority in Greece, both in population and in size. It is situated in a protected spot, with views over Skorpios ( property of Aristotle Onnassis), Meganissi, and other small islands, as well as over the Greek mainland.

The island has a typical Mediterranean climate: hot summers and fresh winters, especially in the mountains.
