Bodrum, the antique mythical Halicarnassus, situated on a peninsula off the Greek island of Kos, is a good starting point for navigating the "Turkish Riviera" as it blends its rich history and art with its nightlife, bohemian and avant-garde.

Palamutbuku is a small fishing village with a naturally protected bay and, therefore, it is very popular among sailors. It has a lovely pebble beach, with typical local restaurants.

Bozburun is a nice coastal village. It is situated on the coast of the peninsula of the same name (Bozburun Peninsula) that extends parallel at the Datça peninsula. This area has a wonderful climate all year round. You can enjoy these beautiful peninsula and views taking a swim in its beautiful clear waters or eating any of the Turkish delight.

Datça is very friendly and lively port. During the day it offers a variety of shops and a good selection of restaurants and bars along the coast. The nightlife is very active.
Near the port behind the beach there is a small lake, brakish, with small waterfalls nearby.

Knidos is another Hellenistic city though it is Turkish. Near the port there is a staircase that ascends to the temple of Aphrodite.

Knidos was an ancient Greek city in Anatolia, it is located on the tip of the Datca peninsula, which forms the southern Gulf of Gokova.

Many ruins are preserved and cover a large area. The walls can be seen perfectly and also part of the two ports. It also keeps two theatres and the remains of a large building, probably a temple. At two km from the ruins to the east there were found many tombs, some of which are large buildings.

In Knidos there was a very famous temple dedicated to Aphrodite, whose image (Aphrodite Cnidia) was made by the Greek sculptor Praxiteles. Another sculpture in this city was also famous: the Demeter of Cnidus made by Leochares, while nearby, facing the sea, on the Triopion promontory the temple was dedicated to the sun god and mythical founder Triops.
