Little remains of the old fishing village that Marmaris once was, but its essence is still very much alive. First, you have to come to the port of Bozukkale, and then you have to walk approx. 2 hours. But the ancient city is worth to be visited. Near the ancient city there is a lake 30 in diameters called Kiran. It withers during the summer.
 

Dirsek, a stunning little bay surrounded by high dry mountains. Boats may anchor in the bay and tie up to a landline or the lines that the restaurants offer along a dock. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom even at about 9 meters, this means that conditions are ideal for diving.

Life in the village revolves around agriculture, fishing, and the construction of traditional gulets (still handcrafted in the shipyards of Sogut, Selimiye, and Bozburun). The landscape is beautiful and perfect for walking.
