Crewed gulet charter

Do you want to enjoy being at sea in the same conditions or even better than if you were sleeping in a hotel?

Then what you’re looking for is a comfortable gulet.

This type of vessel is mainly found in Turkey and Croatia. They are motor sailing boats that are entirely hand-crafted out of wood, following the style of traditional Mediterranean trading boats. Despite their romantic and traditional appearance, they come equipped with the latest technology in terms of safety and incorporate the most modern audio and video systems to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Smaller gulets tend to have a length overall of 19 metres and can reach up to 40. Depending on the size, they are intended for a certain type of customer or another.

Smaller gulets are usually chartered in private groups (from 8 to 16 people), but the larger ones can be chartered by cabin and you share the rest of the gulet with other families. Cabins are spacious and normally include a double bed or a set of bunk beds, a wardrobe for hanging your clothes and a private bathroom. Common areas are also spacious enough so that everyone has a spot and feels comfortable. Normally, there is a saloon, a deck surface with a large table for having dinner and hammocks or sun pads for sunbathing and an aft deck where you can rest under the shade of an awning. The most modern gulets are also equipped with a radio/stereo, TV, DVD player and CD player.

The crew

Gulets are usually serviced by a professional captain, one or two sailors, a chef and, in most cases, a waiter or attendant.

Itineraries

Gulets usually follow itineraries set by the captain who is an expert in the area. The itinerary needs to be determined ahead of time, especially if you are coming from Turkey and heading to the Greek Islands as you will need to keep in mind procedures at customs. If you like, you can suggest a change in the itinerary ahead of time, but the captain of the gulet is the one who always has the last say in this matter.
